About the image

The image below was generated in two steps.

• The first step was to calculate a radiosity solution for the scene description consisting of the floor, the tables, the connected terminals and the ceiling lamps. The calculation was performed in parallel on a network of 10 Linux PCs by the PARILLU program.
• The second step was a manipulation of the resulting image using Gimp. We replaced the background of the radiosity image by the earth image, which itself was obtained from the program xearth.
